Indian Dusk, Madras

This week-end I will feature a few images from my trip to India. I have been touched by this ocuntry, its beauty, people, their love for life and its amazingly colorful, almost cliche sense of existence. But, enough with the pop philosophy- enjoy!

Look Ma...

...It's the next Mr. Hitchcock!
No baby, it's just some jerk with a camera trying to invade our precious family moment and take away our God-given right to feed these germ-infested pigeons in private. Damn animal lovers! Now smile for the camera my offspring!

Monkey Falls, India

Monkey Falls is of absolute beauty. People, young and old come to bath themselves in its semi-cleanwaters,while monkeys infected with who-knows-what (Ebola?) roam around in a frenzy trying to get a hold of some lost tourist cracker, a finger or chocolate bar.

Strangers By Chance

We meet people everyday and I often ask myself if we remember one another following our daily encounters. It's strangers that we see most of our lives, getting to know almost none of them. But those we do know...are strangers no more...they are our frinds and life lovers by chance.

Midway upon the journey of our life
I found myself within a forest dark,
For the straightforward pathway had been lost.

Madness along with chaos make up the phenomenon we sometimes call addiction. We may refer to it as dependence, attachment, support- even love, yet being drunk is nothing like the real thing.

My brother

A mystery yet to be unraveled is my little brother Serge. A being designed of an all too familiar DNA and cognitive elements, a being whose sole purpose is to play video games and talk on the phone. He's a good guy, though, most of the times.

So today's Sunday and while I did wanna make some changes to my posts, content, etc... I will chicken out and do that tom (or the day after). But, from now on, Sunday will be called Portrait Sunday and it will feature one portrait, w/o special commentary, just showcasing the beauty of being human (young, adult, dead or somehow otherwise).

Blue Saturday in the White City

Shot this frame on fast film (ISO 800), so the high grain is quite visible. Happy Saturday all- whether you're working today or not. I am, but will be making the best of it. I am looking to change some things starting tom with my daily posts- so any feedback would be appreciated. Peace.

The Aftermath

Empty streets, wind blowing, corporate and administrative chaos turned into nothingness.

Taxi Taxi

Friday is usually the worst day to drive in Chicago. But, life goes on and we all get home at the end of the day...hopefully in one piece.

Clouds in Chicago- part deux

This is a "sister-shot" I took at the same time with the one I posted yesterday. I like both, but since I have gotten ssuch gracious compliments, I thought you'd all like to see this one as well.

What is this thing we call happiness? For many it is a complicated thing, aubjects addressed throughout the ages, but for me, it is nothing more than a subtle combination of the bliss of a port-a-poty, and the closenss to nature one feels when going to the bathroom al fresco.

Clouds in Chicago...

Hot today and it did feel like climbing hundreds of steps when trying to see a doctor through our wonderful public health system. Heaven, I'm in heaven...

The Sphynx

Deep within the Carpathian Mountains, there lies a force that shapes everything. It creates, destroyes and changes all things, its mysterious power and wisdom never-ending.

Clouds, light, fresh air...monday morning... not so cool!
